Advertising for Bajaj Bikes

After writing a post on the Bajaj Pulsar DTS FI 220, I was wondering how would Bajaj go about advertising the Bike.
Bajaj has been coming up with great ad campaigns so far.
1) Bajaj Kawasaki Caliber -"The unshakable"
This was an amazing ad in which the guy returns after few years (dont rem from where) and picks up a cute puppy on his way to meet his love, incidentally when he reaches her place he finds a small kid playing and then his sweet heart married to some one else. He smiles, hands over the puppy to the kid and leaves calmly on his Caliber.
Btw i am proud owner of a Bajaj Caliber.
2) Caliber 115 - Hoodibaba
The ad had this green bike zooming around tight turns and stuff and background score was like "Hoooddibababaaaa". Was quite fun, although the bike didn't do well
3) Pulsar - "Definately Male"
This was again one of the best. 2 Nurses having a look at the new born and shouting "its a boy". And quite a few others emphasising on the masculinity of the bike.
4) The DTSI pulsar was again a simple an effective add.
5) Bajaj Avenger - "Feel like god"
The best so far. Emphasising about the feel the bike offers its rider.
This was the bike that truely brought cruisers to india.
people also say its a poor man's Harley, tough i beg to differ.

So the point is Bajaj has always had ads focused on the bikes, so the real celebrity in the ads have always been the bikes, instead of getting some one like Sorav ganguly (gr8 i still remember him), dravid, sachin, john abrahim.
Second and most important is keeping the chicks out of it. I mean say tvs Apache for eg. Do we really need an Apache to woo a girl? I mean a bike is a bike, why get scantily clad females in the ad, or try to convey something like "If you want to be Casanova you got to get this bike".
Every one from cars to soaps to undergarments some how manage to drag females in their advertising and sell the oomph.

So having said all that i am sure that bajaj will come with a killer ad for DTS FI and keeping up withe tradition i am sure the bike will have center stage instead of celebs or women.

BTW no matter how good the ad is, the bike is on my wish list and i am gonna get it ASAP.
Stay tuned for my first hand experience on that.
