All the signs can be classified by the four elements: Earth, Fire, Water, Air.
Usually all the signs from the same element get along well with each other.

Fire:- Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
Earth:- Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
Air:- Gemini, Libra, Aquarius
Water:- Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

Planets
From sun signs moving on to planets.
Venus:- Love, sensuality, creativity, artistic, passion.

Mars:- Vitality,courage,fighting,speech & movements.
Stone:- Coral (Powla)
Mercury:- Mentality, commerce, science

Moon:- Imagination,romance,emotion,changeability,attitude
Stone:- Pearl(moti)
Sun:- Brilliancy, fruitfulness, success
Stone:- Ruby (Maanik)
Jupiter: ambition, power, domination
Stone:- Yellow Saphire(Pushkaraaj)
Saturn:- Reserve, melancholy, seriousness
Stone:- Blue Saphire(Neelam)

If at all you are wearing a gem without any consultation make sure the gem is not in direct contact with your body or light rays don't pass through it straight to your skin. eg:- A ring carrying a gem sealed from below would be less helpful / harmful than a ring in which the gem is open from below or touches skin directly.
